About this file
This is a Technical Specifications document for a Navy federal contract requirement (N00164-26-SIMACQ-CR-WXR-0052) issued by Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division on 18 March 2026.
The U.S. Navy requires air ionizers and brackets to eliminate static charges in laboratory environments. The base year requirement specifies 30 NRD Brand Staticmaster Ion Air Source units (P/N P-2035) or equivalent products. The ionizers must meet specific critical characteristics: dimensions of 2.75 inches width by 3.63 inches length, aluminum housing with stainless steel screen enclosure, 40 mCi activity level, zero balance rating, and compatibility with clean dry air (CDA) or nitrogen input without requiring electrical power. Units must carry a Class I Division I Group B and Class II Division I Groups E, F & G hazardous environmental rating certification. The contract includes two option years, each for 30 additional replacement units of the same specifications. Contractors proposing alternate brands must submit complete technical specifications, data sheets, and performance documentation proving equivalency or superiority; failure to provide this documentation will result in proposal rejection. All proposals must include packing, handling, and shipping fees; standard commercial one-year warranty documentation; and operator setup, maintenance, and certification documentation. Air ionizer units require replacement every 12 months. Shipment is directed to NSWC Crane Division, Building 198, 300 Highway 361, Crane, Indiana 47522-5001.
