SPECIFICATION
Fish feeding system upgrades
I BACKGROUND
The National Cold Water Marine Aquaculture Center requires feeders that can be added to the current system (Arvo-Tec). The current feeding system used Arvo-Tec robot feeders and tank side feeders connected to the Arvo-Tec software that controls feeding the fish. The feeders and equipment must be compatible with the Arvo-Tec feeding control system (https://www.arvotec.fi/feeding-technology/feeding-control-system/) currently in use. This software package can estimate fish growth over time and adjust feed dosing to individual tanks accordingly and can keep track of fish growth performance (estimating weigh gain, percent gain, feed conversion ratio, and specific growth rate). These indicators allow the staff to monitor and adjust feeding for the fish.
