About this file

This is a Special Terms and Conditions document for services related to a Virginia state contract opportunity for weed control services at the Augusta Nursery in Crimora, VA. The project involves removing weeds from June 2026 through August 2026 across approximately 28 acres of tree seedling beds. Bids submitted in response to this solicitation remain valid for 30 days, after which they may be withdrawn at the bidder's written request; if not withdrawn, bids remain in effect until an award is made or the solicitation is canceled. The document specifies that bidders must certify they have inspected the job site and are aware of the conditions under which work must be accomplished. Upon delivery, services will be evaluated to ensure compliance with contract specifications, and any deficiencies must be promptly and permanently corrected by the contractor at their sole expense prior to final acceptance.

Pricing must be submitted as an all-inclusive, per-acre rate with the total calculated automatically; in cases of bid errors where intent is clearly evident, unit prices will govern, and discounts for prompt payment, while allowed, will not be considered in award determinations. The State reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part and to waive any informality or delete items prior to award. No portion of the work may be subcontracted without prior written consent of the purchasing agency. The contractor bears full responsibility for supervising all work and any subcontractors utilized, remains fully liable for subcontractor performance, and must repair any damage to existing utilities, equipment, or finished surfaces resulting from contract performance at the contractor's expense. The solicitation will result in one purchase order with applicable eVA transaction fees assessed for each order.
