DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA 19111-5092
RE: Fire and Emergency Services Equipment (F&ESE) Tailored Logistics Support (TLS) Solicitation SPE8EH-21-R-0001
To whom it may concern, DLA Troop Support issued a solicitation for Fire and Emergency Services Equipment Tailored Logistics Support under SPE8EH-21-R-0001 on March 22, 2022. This solicitation represents a follow-on acquisition to the current Fire and Emergency Services Equipment TLS Program and a sixth generation of the program at DLA Troop Support.
Potential offerors under this solicitation have notified this office that they are unable to obtain quotations for items which your company manufactures. Competition plays a primary and essential role in the success of this TLS Program. The business model under which this program operates relies on a competitive marketplace. To this end, products that are deemed non-competitive for various reasons, including a manufacturer’s decision to provide quotations to only a limited number of vendors, such as existing contract holders or existing distributors, may be removed from the program. That is, the identified products may no longer be available for sale under the next generation TLS Program.
While understanding the business judgments involved in these types of matters, your company is encouraged to revisit the business decision to not provide quotations to requesting vendors.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please contact me at 215-737-0301 or Mary.Ryan@dla.mil. Thank you for your continued support of the warfighter and our federal partners!
Sincerely, Mary Ryan Contracting Officer Construction and Equipment Fire & Marine Division mailto:Mary.Ryan@dla.mil
