ANSWER: It's anticipated that this waste will have <500 ppm VOCs. However, the Government cannot guarantee this.
2. CLIN 6387DD - What type / size (cuyd) is the Govt. provided rolloff/compactor?
ANSWER: This could be anywhere from a 10CY box to a 40 CY box, as the container is dependent upon the current project and/or mission being worked.
3. How is the following material packaged / shipped? What size shipping container?
CLIN 9507 - UN3077, ENVIRONMENTALLY HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES, SOLID, N.O.S., 9, III,
RQ(CHROMIUM, METHYL ETHYL KETONE), UN3077, 9, III, D006, D007, F005, , , DRIED PAINT RESIDUALS
MASKING, MIXING CUPS, PPE, U, DRIED PAINT RESIDUALS MASKING, MIXING CUPS, PPE, U, , , , 400
GAL CM
ANSWER: This will be shipped in a roll-off container.
4. Provide waste material profile(s) for typical waste removed under each of the following CLINs:
a. TX06 "Debris, Inorganic Constituents Only. >50% debris
Answer: This will vary, but could include contaminated debris, filters, PPE, etc.
b. TX07 "Debris, Organic and/or Inorganic Constituents. >50%
Answer: This will be similar to TX06, but often with organic waste codes.
c. TX16 "Metals-Bearing Solids/Sludges/Some Free Liquids, Answer: This will likely often be blast media with metals.
d. TX17 "Metals-Bearing Solids/Sludges/Some Free Liquids, Answer: This waste will often be similar to that that is sent out via TX16, but will have associated F-codes.
Note: Waste for the above CLINs will be generated at multiple sites. Therefore, it's difficult to narrow down exactly what each waste will be.
5. CLIN BA99 – Is it possible to provide a picture or diagram of the tops of these batteries?
ANSWER: We were unable to find a diagram, however, Page 3 & 4 of this document contain pictures of similar batteries that may be ordered under this CLIN.
6. CLIN CS08B5 "Corrosive Acids, Hydrofluoric (HF) <40% in Water and Nitric (HNO3) <25% in Water, -provide profile, or can you narrow down the acid%?. How is this shipped?
ANSWER: This has historically been HF of concentration <40%, though the process could change in the future.
This waste will likely have to be pumped to a tanker.
7. CLIN CS01 "Corrosive Acids, Inorganic other than HF and HNO3, <50% in Water, Non-Fuming, - provide profile, or can you narrow down the acid%?
ANSWER: This will be a variety of inorganic acids with <1% TCLP metals coming from a variety of sources and generators.
8. CLIN CS02 "Corrosive Acids, Inorganic other than HF and HNO3, <50% in Water, Non-Fuming, - provide profile, or can you narrow down the acid%?
ANSWER: This will be a variety of inorganic acids with >1% TCLP metals coming from a variety of sources and generators.
9. CLIN CS03 "Corrosive Acids, Inorganic other than HF and HNO3, Concentrated, <1% Total Metals, - provide profile, or can you narrow down the acid%?
ANSWER: These are concentrated inorganic acids coming from a variety of sources and generators.
10. CLIN CS12 "Corrosive Ammonia/Amines, Organic/Inorganic, Liquids/ Sludges/Solids/Debris, - Would this include 100% amines or high ammonia (29%)?
ANSWER: Yes, this could include both 100% amines or high ammonia.
11. CLIN FL04 "Flammable Corrosive Liquids/Solids/Sludges/ Debris/Aerosols. - Are aerosols included in this category? Wouldn't they fall under CLIN FL01?
ANSWER: Flammable corrosive aerosols would have both a D001 and D002. CLIN FL01 does not accommodate the D002 waste code.
12. CLIN NR93 "Non-RCRA Liquids for RCRA Incineration, Pumpable, Unused AFFF, - provide profile. Is any of the AFFF halogenated?
ANSWER: Yes, this will likely be halogenated.
