About this file
Laboratory Field Sampling, Testing, and Analysis Schedule
This document is a Laboratory Field Sampling, Testing, and Analysis (STA) Schedule for water monitoring services at DLA Distribution San Joaquin CA facility. The schedule establishes comprehensive testing protocols for domestic sewage treatment plant monitoring, potable water supply monitoring, groundwater monitoring, and disinfection by-products analysis.
The contract requires weekly sampling and analysis of influent and effluent at the domestic sewage treatment plant, measuring volatile organic compounds (VOCs), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), total suspended solids, total coliform, and fecal coliform using EPA and Standard Methods protocols. Bi-weekly potable water monitoring includes testing for total coliform organisms and residual chlorine at the elevated storage tank and distribution system. Monthly sampling of potable water wells (Wells 8, 9, and 10) measures coliform organisms and residual chlorine. Quarterly monitoring includes comprehensive analysis of 52 constituents from potable water wells including metals, alkalinity, hardness, turbidity, pH, and conductivity, with results transmitted electronically to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board. Groundwater monitoring occurs quarterly at four designated wells (LM002A, LM003AA, LM015AA, LM079B) measuring VOCs, BOD5, total dissolved solids, nitrates, and total/fecal coliform. Annual sampling analyzes trihalomethanes and haloacetic acids. A two-year supplemental waste discharge monitoring program (April 2027 through March 2029) requires monthly influent/effluent sampling and quarterly groundwater sampling at ten wells measuring total Kjeldahl nitrogen, nitrate, total nitrogen, total coliform, and dissolved metals. The contractor provides labeled sample containers and performs sample collection at specified locations, while the government collects certain composite samples. All sampling shall continue throughout all performance periods.
