About this file

This document is a Questions & Answers (Q&A) file for a Defense Logistics Agency Distribution solicitation (SP330026Q0011) for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Batteries. The Q&A clarifies three key points: (1) single point water systems and low water monitor warning lights must be factory installed, (2) only new batteries with a 5-year warranty are acceptable, and (3) specific battery models require confirmation of exact amp-hour (Ah) ratings to ensure precise specification matching.

The solicitation involves procuring new battery units with specific technical requirements, targeting material handling equipment. The Q&A demonstrates the government's attention to detailed technical specifications, particularly around battery installation, warranty, and precise electrical characteristics. The opportunity is being managed by the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution, suggesting this is a military/defense-related procurement for equipment battery replacements or upgrades.

Questions & Answers:

1. Did you check w/ the customer, re the single point water systems and low water monitor warning lights?

Answer: Yes, the request is to have them factory installed.

2. Do you accept refurbished/reconditioned batteries for any of the units on the list, or do they need to be new batteries only?

Answer: New batteries only, with a 5-Year warranty.

3. For the battery models listed, could you confirm the required amp-hour (Ah) ratings for each? Some models (like the 12-125-17, 18-85-19, 24-85-21, etc.) can come in different Ah capacities depending on the manufacturer, so I want to be sure I’m matching the correct specifications.
