Amendment 01 Questions received concerning Request for Quote SP310008T0050.
Question 1:
Does the Raymond Lift Model 589 require the inspection to be performed from the inside the masts due to the plate covering all of the panel points?
Answer:
The inspection of Raymond Lift model 589 will require the use of a JLG (or equivalent) high-lift capable of a height of 65 feet as well as it may require internal inspection due to the unique mast structure associated with the model 589.
Question 2:
What level of effort is required for the contractor for both the Raymond models 89 and 589?
Answer:
The Government has estimated that the combined labor hours for the labor categories for the Project Engineer (PE), Non Destructive Examiner (NDE), and any other required labor categories to perform the inspections as follows:
Inspection of Raymond Model 89: Total quantity of model 89 lifts to be inspected:
thirteen (13) lifts in total. The Government estimates the complete inspection for all model 89’s should take approximately 130 man hours. The requested quote for Labor Hour Unit Price should be inclusive of any and all labor categories required to perform the inspections.

Inspection of Raymond Model 589: Total Quantity of model 589 lifts to be inspected:
fourteen (14) lifts in total. The Government estimates the complete inspection for all model 589’s should take approximately 70 man hours. The requested quote for Labor Hour Unit Price should be inclusive of any and all labor categories required to perform the inspection.

The technical capability of a quote should explain how quoters plan on performing the inspection service.
The quote must also include past performance information.
Question 3:
Will there be a repair campaign after the inspections?
Answer:
The Government is unable to make this determination until the inspections are completed and the inspection reports reviewed. If repair is needed, it will be competed under separate solicitation.
