This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the fabrication and installation of a 3,500-gallon water tank body on a government-furnished truck chassis for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge (Contract Number 140FS226Q0162).
The contractor shall remove the existing water tank body from Unit 4077, fabricate one new 3,500-gallon single-compartment modified elliptical steel tank with double-bottom construction, and install it on a government-provided chassis. The tank must include a 20-inch top-mounted manway with vented fill lid, three-inch overflow piping, three-inch hydrant fill connection with anti-siphon air gap, four-inch outlet connection, full-height sight gauge, rear-mounted access ladder, and trough-style wheel fenders. The contractor must also provide and install a heavy-duty spring-loaded mounting system with isolation materials, all plumbing components (water piping, shutoff valves, drain valves, fill connections), electrical components including LED clearance lighting, stop/tail/turn lights compliant with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), amber warning beacons, and backup alarm. All surfaces must be mechanically prepared with epoxy primer and baked acrylic urethane finish coat. The completed installation shall be leak-free, structurally sound, and fully operational. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and tools; protect government property; repair any damage at no additional cost; and comply with FMVSS, OSHA, DOT, and accepted commercial industry standards. Deliverables include the completed vehicle, manufacturer's operation and maintenance manuals, parts manuals, warranty documentation, and final inspection and testing documentation. Delivery shall occur at the location specified by the Contracting Officer within the period specified in the resulting contract after receipt of the government-furnished chassis.
