About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details requirements for maintaining and inspecting eight emergency power generators located at the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) facility in Stoneville, Mississippi. The contract encompasses annual preventative maintenance and quarterly inspections for one base year with four additional option years, covering generators from manufacturers including Caterpillar (4 units), Kohler (3 units), and Cummins (1 unit). Generator sizes range from 60kW to 750kVA, with service duties classified as standby and located across multiple facility buildings including the main compound, catfish facility, cotton gin facility, and research centers.
Key contract requirements include comprehensive maintenance tasks such as replacing lubricating oils and filters, performing full load bank tests, inspecting cooling systems and fuel systems, checking battery conditions, verifying control panel functionality, and conducting operational checks. The contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), provide emergency service 24/7, submit detailed inspection reports, and work during standard hours of 7 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday. The project aims to ensure continuous and reliable emergency power generation capabilities for critical USDA research infrastructure, with an anticipated start in April 2025 and a total potential contract duration of five years.
