Burton, Frank R CIV (USA) I am not sure what you mean by shop drawings, can you expand on that?

Byron, Jeffrey S CIV USCG CEU CLEVELAND (USA) Can be translated As-Builts drawings. Drawlings that show what and where things were done so we can go back and troubleshoot issues in a few years if needed.

Burton, Frank R CIV (USA) What do these test procedures need to be on specifically? Who do they need to be submitted to? What is the deadline for submission? I think we need to elaborate more here as it is not clear to me the intent of this bullet.

Byron, Jeffrey S CIV USCG CEU CLEVELAND (USA) The two standards mentioned outline what testing needs done. All submissions need to be submitted to the KO/COR in any contract. I think in any case if no deadline is specified it’s before final payment.

True, Keegan H LT USCG CEU CLEVELAND (USA) Added ‘commissioning’ procedures. KTR should follow applicable codes for final testing procedures to ensure system is operating correctly upon install.

Burton, Frank R CIV (USA) Confirming you mean for the KTR to create new ones? If so, we need to specify what we want included in these manuals specifically as this statement is open ended as currently written.

Byron, Jeffrey S CIV USCG CEU CLEVELAND (USA) Compile and submit: gather the manufactures O&M manuals and provide.

True, Keegan H LT USCG CEU CLEVELAND (USA) Yes KTR is responsible for all submittals in this section.

Burton, Frank R CIV (USA) What do you mean by thorough testing? Does the standard you reference at the end of the sentence document the testing requirements? If so we can just state that testing shall be completed and in accordance with the requirements of those applicable standards.

Byron, Jeffrey S CIV USCG CEU CLEVELAND (USA) Yes the standard provides the testing requirements. “If so we can just state that testing shall be completed and in accordance with the requirements of those applicable standards.” that’s what the sentence says.

True, Keegan H LT USCG CEU CLEVELAND (USA) Removed term ‘thorough’.

Burton, Frank R CIV (USA) I think this will need to be expanded on. As if we are going to be evaluating personnel on how well they fit into a particular labor category then we need to detail what the specific requirements are. 10 years in construction seems very broad.

True, Keegan H LT USCG CEU CLEVELAND (USA) Changed to ‘fire protection’ industry.

1.3.5. Minimum Tests

The system shall be tested in accordance with NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code. This includes but is not limited to:

b. Operational test of every initiating device (pull station, smoke/heat detector) and notification appliance (speaker/strobe).

Smoke detectors shall be tested with a calibrated test method or canned smoke.

d. . Verification that all specified control functions operate correctly.

Beavers Executive Petty Officer and the Environmental Protection Specialist Larry (Scott) Fisher Base Portsmouth Environmental Specialist of any activity that could cause a fire, affect safety systems, or result in a hazardous material release.

c. All trash and debris shall be removed from the site daily.

1.3.9. Personnel and Site Access
