About this file

This is a Scope of Work document issued by the United States Coast Guard for Station Venice, Louisiana, detailing specifications for the installation of eye wash stations and potable water piping infrastructure. The project requires contractors to install four stainless steel potable water-supplied eye wash stations with emergency eye wash and shower capabilities, two commercial marine grade self-retracting 50-foot water hose reels, removal of old potable water piping beneath the pier, and installation of new copper potable water piping approximately 150 feet in length. Eye wash stations will be located at four designated areas: on the pier, under the main building, next to the hazmat storage shed, and under the ANT building. Each station must include shut-off valves on water supply lines and drain valves at the lowest points of drop-downs to prevent freeze damage. All exposed piping must be insulated. The contractor must submit eye wash stations and hose reels to the Contracting Officer's Representative (MK1 Ricky Gonzales) for approval prior to procurement. A pre-conference will be conducted after contract award but prior to work commencement. The required delivery date is 60 days after contract award.

This is a total small business set-aside in the 238220 plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning contractors classification. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for project completion. Work must be scheduled to minimize interference with normal facility operations (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays), with the contractor required to notify the Coast Guard one week prior to work commencement. The contractor is responsible for all materials protection, existing utility verification using detection devices, proper disposal of waste in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, adherence to OSHA safety standards, and repair of any utilities damaged during work at no additional cost to the Government. Personnel requirements include American citizens and permanent resident aliens only, with a consolidated list of all contracted personnel and identification numbers required prior to the notice to proceed date. All contractor vehicles, equipment, and personnel are subject to search and may be ordered to evacuate the property at any time due to security and operational requirements.
