About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details safety upgrades for sliding gates at 103 U.S. Embassy residential locations in Brasilia, Brazil. The project requires a contractor to install safety features including new gate operating motors with obstruction detection, gate interlocks where sliding gates cross pedestrian openings, and structural fall-over prevention mechanisms. The contractor must use Rossi DZ-4 turbo gate operators (or equivalent) and compatible obstruction detection devices, with all wiring installed in electrical conduit to ensure weather resistance.

The project has specific performance requirements, including completing one gate conversion per day with a maximum project duration of 120 workdays. Installations must be completed at each residence in a single day to maintain gate operational status. The work will be performed across residences in Lago Sul, Lago Norte, Asa Sul, and Asa Norte areas. The contractor will receive monthly partial payments based on completed and delivered locations, and is responsible for surveying and installing all specified safety elements, as well as turning over any new remote controls provided during the project.
