Department of State US Embassy Brussels
About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details an emergency sinkhole investigation and repair project for the U.S. Embassy in Brussels. The project requires a contractor to investigate a sinkhole on Rue Zinner within the embassy compound, utilizing diagnostic tools including ground penetrating radar to identify the source and assess street stability. Specific tasks include excavation up to five meters deep, repairing the sinkhole source, and restoring the road to its original cobblestone design, with strict safety requirements for excavation and heavy machinery work.
The project is time-sensitive, with a performance period from 12/10/2025 to 1/9/2026, and is being solicited as a firm-fixed-price purchase order. The U.S. Department of State's Embassy in Brussels will provide limited support including low-voltage electricity and water access. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit electronic quotations to BrusselsBids@state.gov in PDF format, with a maximum file size of 30MB. Daily site inspections will be conducted by embassy facility managers, and contractor staff will require escort and visitor badges while on-site.
