About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the reconditioning requirements for 25 MTU S60 Turbo Assemblies (NSN 2950-01-590-4198) used on 45' RB-M Main Propulsion Diesel Engines for the US Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center. The vendor must open, inspect, and provide a detailed inspection report for each turbo assembly, following Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) instructions from Detroit Diesel and MTU Marine. Any turbo assembly determined to be Beyond Economical Repair (BER) - defined as reconditioning costs exceeding 65% of a new turbo's price - must be reported to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for disposition guidance.

Key requirements include thoroughly reconditioning each turbo assembly to OEM specifications, preserving the assemblies for potential two-year warehouse storage, and packaging each in an individual crate capable of protecting the item during multiple shipments. The deliverables must be marked with specific identification information including National Stock Number, Item Name, Part Number, Serial Number, and Government Order Number. Quotes are due by 11:00 pm EDT on 16 May 2025, with all questions to be submitted in writing to Cynthia Matthews by 12 May 2025. The final delivery deadline is 30 September 2025, with delivery to the US Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
