About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) detailing requirements for reconditioning 25 Turbo Assemblies (NSN: 2950-01-590-4198, P/N: 23529000) used on MTU S60 Diesel engines in 45' RB-M boats for the US Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center.

The SOW outlines four main requirements: 1) Open/Inspect - vendor must disassemble and inspect each turbo per OEM instructions and submit an inspection report to the COR, with any units deemed Beyond Economical Repair (exceeding 65% of new cost) requiring special disposition; 2) Overhaul/Reassembly - units must be reconditioned according to Detroit Diesel and MTU Marine Service specifications; 3) Preservation - units must be individually preserved for up to 2 years of warehouse storage; and 4) Packing/Marking - each turbo must be packaged in an individual protective crate suitable for multiple shipments, with specific marking requirements including NSN, part number, serial number, and government order number. New crates require KO approval if existing ones are damaged or missing.
