Statement of Work (SOW) Project: Anton Paar Rheometer MCR302 System including Rheometer, Peltier
Temperature control & Convection Temperature Device Service Plan
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: To ensure that an instrument needed to meet research milestones is in proper working order. The work that will be performed includes preventive maintenance (to ensure proper functioning) and in addition, if the instrument breaks all damage will be repaired. This includes parts and labor. By purchasing this service agreement, the Anton Paar Rheometer and its components will continue to provide quality results which 4 Research Scientists depend on.
2.0 Background: This instrument was purchased from Anton Paar approximately 7 years ago. It is anticipated that as the instrument ages, repairs may become more frequent. Without this instrument, completion of many research milestones may be negatively impacted. The instrument is located in, 1301, a lab on the 1st floor of the building. The cost of a suitable replacement has certainly increased.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks: Standard preventive maintenance as per the requirements of the instrument manufacturer. In case of instrument failure, the company will fix the instrument so that it can run within the standard parameters.
Given the nature of the instrument, only Anton Paar qualified repair personnel should attempt any repair of the instrument.
4.0 Government Furnished: The government is responsible for proving the needed inputs for the instrument. This will include items such as reliable electrical power, compressed gas, house air and cleaning agents. Government will review the results of the standard tests to ensure that the instrument is operating at its required performance level. The government will control access to the lab. The Rheometer is located in room 1301 of the NCAUR lab in Peoria, Illinois. Non-government employees will require some level of pre-screening to obtain the proper badge to enter the lab and will be escorted at all times. Access to the lab will occur during normal business hours, not on government holidays and when the government employee responsible for the day to day operation of the instrument is present.
Given CoVid restrictions, additional requirements will be in place for entrance to the lab. These will be communicated with the service provider before arrival.
Attempts will be made to ensure that safety is met for all parties and the equipment delivered in a timely manner.
5.0 Deliverables / Schedule:
o Once per year a preventive maintenance inspection/calibration will be carried out. This will be done to meet the required performance metrics set by the manufacturer.
o This will take place at a time convenient to both the government and the provider. However, it must be completed before the end of the contract year.
o If the instrument breaks, the instrument supplier must be contacted with 7 days of notification of the downed instrument to this service agreement provider and an appointment made to have the original instrument supplier inspect the instrument to initiate and complete repairs.
