About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for spatial transcriptomics research on avian influenza-infected chicken lung tissue, accompanied by a related RFQ solicitation. The SOW outlines requirements for consumables that must be compatible with fixed tissue sections and capable of probing approximately 480 genes using spatial transcriptomics platforms.

The associated RFQ (12505B25Q0058) is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 334516 with a 1,000-employee size standard. The USDA Agricultural Research Service seeks specific items including Xenium Decoding Reagents, Advanced Panel Upgrade, Consumables, Cell Segmentation Add-on Kit, Slides & Sample Prep Reagents, and a Standalone Custom 301-480 Gene Panel. Quotes are due by January 17, 2025, at 5:00 PM Central Time, with questions due by January 14, 2025, at 1:00 PM Central. The contract will be awarded on a Firm-Fixed Price basis using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) criteria, with a 30-day performance period. Delivery is required to the USDA ARS facility at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO.

Statement of Work (SOW) Project: Spatial Transcriptomics for Avian Influenza-Infected Chicken Lung (10X Genomic brand name or equal)

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 Scope of Work: The goal is to perform spatial transcriptomics of the chicken lung after avian influenza infection to determine localization of different cell types and how the virus affects their transcriptomes.

2.0 Background: Spatial transcriptomics of fixed tissues which is crucial in our case since we are collecting lung of chickens infected with highly pathogenic avian influenza. The appropriate consumables are required to perform spatial transcriptomics on fixed tissues.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
