Asbestos containing material (ACM) may exist in normally inaccessible locations such as within walls, ceilings, crawl spaces, pipe chases, shafts, trenches, or other locations.

The only known ACM for this project is certain pipe insulation in the attic space in

Building 46. This known ACM should not interfere with the scope of this project. If suspect material is encountered during the course of this project, work in this area shall stop and the contractor shall immediately notify the COR. Materials which are completely inaccessible under normal circumstances and which are in relatively intact condition are unlikely to pose a significant health hazard to building occupants, and if undisturbed, can remain in place. Any suspected ACM which is encountered during maintenance, renovation or demolition work should be assumed to be asbestoscontaining and be treated accordingly.
