Statement of Work (SOW) Dell Power Protect Data Manager Replication Indian Health Service, Tucson Area Office Revised 7/23/2024

Indian Health Service, Tucson Area Office

Title: Dell Power Protect Data Manager Replication

1. Backup Solution Technical Requirements The Contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, and materials to implement a backup replication solution for the Tucson Area Office (TAO). The data from TAO will be replicated to the Albuquerque, NM IHS data center storage site.

2. Requirements Overview The following outlines the Statement of Work (SOW) requirements as provided by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). All proposals must use Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Solutions. The SOW specifies the minimum required characteristics and functions.

A. Hardware/Software/Licensing The Contractor will supply any necessary software to integrate the existing Dell PowerProtect Data Domain in TAO with the new backup appliance at the Albuquerque site. This includes all required licensing to operate the new Dell PowerProtect Data Domain as the replication target for the existing system.

· Disaster Recovery Site

· The Albuquerque, NM IHS data center will host the Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Appliance with SFP+ connections as the replication target.

B. Technical Specifications:

i. Dell PowerProtect Data Manager Data Domain 6400 NFS CIFS (1 EA) which at minimum includes:

· Storage:

· DD6400 Capacity License Bundle 1TBu=CC (16 EA)

· DD6400 Cloud Tier 1TB =CC (64 EA)

· Network:

· DD 10GSFP ENET 4PT INTEL with copper over fiber connectors (2 EA)

· DD 10GBASE-T IO MODULE 4PORT NDC INTEL (1 EA)

· XCVR 10GbE SR SFP Intel (8 EA)

· Extended Service: 3 years Onsite ProSupport Next Business Day for hardware and software

· ProDeploy Plus: PowerProtect Data Domain Deployment

ii. Dell EMC PowerProtect Data Manager Essentials Upgrade (1 EA) which at minimum includes:

· Dell EMC PowerProtect Data Manager Essentials=CA (2 EA)

· 3 Years ProSupport

· ProDeploy Additional Remote Data Protection Technical Resource: 4 Hours

· Cloud Snapshot Manager SaaS=IB (20 EA)

· Data Protection Advisor=CA (2 EA)

· Data Protection Central=CA (2 EA)

· PowerProtect Database Agent=CA (2 EA)

· PowerProtect Microsoft Agent=CA (2 EA)

· PowerProtect Oracle RMAN Agent=CA (2 EA)

· PowerProtect Storage Direct for PMAX=CA (2 EA)

· PowerProtect Storage Direct for VMAX=CA (2 EA)

· PowerProtect Storage Direct for XIO=CA (2 EA)

· Granular Recovery for Microsoft=CA (2 EA)

· vProtect=CA (2 EA)

· Cloud Disaster Recovery=CA (2 EA)

· PowerProtect Storage Direct DD vD=IA (1 EA)

· vRealize=IA (1 EA)

· PowerProtect Cyber Recovery=IC (1 EA)

· RecoverPoint for VMs=IB (20 EA)

· PowerProtect DD Virtual Edition=CA (2 EA)

· Dell EMC Cloud Tier=CC (2 EA)

C. Services:

i. Installation support for DR replication appliance in Albuquerque NM, in collaboration with IHS on-site and/or remote support staff, to include:

· Project Planning

· Initial project kickoff call between vendor/Dell and HIS support personnel

· Confirmation of site readiness - space, power, switch and port availability

· Review network configuration requirements

· Review firewall, NTP and DNS requirements

· Confirmation and documentation of IP addressing

· Confirmation of workload account permissions

· Security Checklist Review and Confirmation

· Physical Installation

· Confirm Delivery Content

· Rack and Stack of equipment

· Cabling of equipment

· Network Configuration

· IP Addressing for node, data, and management networks

· Networking configuration of switches, VLANs, and routing

· Powering On

· Initial Power-Up – Verify node boots up correctly without hardware errors

· Operating System Installation

· OS Deployment – Install OS on node if not pre-installed

· OS Configuration – Configure necessary OS settings such as hostname, network settings, and security parameters

· Software Installation and Configuration

· Install Software – Install the necessary software (Dell PowerProtect DD OS) on the node

· Upgrade software if necessary

· Archival and Replication Configuration – Configure software to recognize all nodes in the and set up replication parameters

· Validation and Testing

· Initial Validation - Perform initial validation checks to ensure the replication is operational and nodes are communicating correctly.

· Testing – Conduct various tests, such as failure tests, to ensure data synchronizes after restoration and proper notifications are sent by the PPDM system as configured

ii. Project Closeout

· Verify Deliverables

· Confirm that the archival target and replication target are fully configured and operational

· Ensure all data protection policies are implemented and functioning as intended

· Conduct Final Tests

· Test the archival process by archiving sample data and verifying its integrity

· Test the replication process by replicating data to the target and ensuring it is accurate and complete

· Perform a disaster recovery drill to validate recovery procedures

· Completed Documentation

· Create detailed configuration documents for the Data Domain system

· Include step-by-step guides for managing and monitoring the system

· Training

· Conduct virtual training sessions for IT staff on managing replication for the Data Domain system

· Provide training materials and documentation for future reference

3. Quantity: 1x Dell Controller Data Domain 6400, 1x Dell EMC PowerProtect Data Manager Essentials

· The IHS Tucson Area Office reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.

· The IHS is not responsible for any costs incurred in the preparation and submission of the proposals.
