Statement of Work / Specification Document Power & Light Installation

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 Scope of Work: Install power and lights to 40-foot storage container at the USDA-ARS

Biological Control of Insects Research Laboratory (BCIRL) in Columbia, MO.

2.0 Background: The 40-foot storage container was acquired for additional storage space due to the pending demolition of several outbuildings and new construction. Installation of power is required so the unit can be cooled and heated to preserve stored materials and climate control for people working in the container. Adequate lighting is needed to navigate the storage container and to prevent accidents/injuries.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:

Power and light installation shall meet or exceed the following technical specifications:

• Supply and installation of (1) 240V 50amp service from the panel in the basement of the main building to the storage container outside.

• Supply and installation of (1) 120/ 240V (12) space panel in the container.

• Rework of existing circuitry to be fed from new panel.

• Supply and installation of (1) 120V 20amp outlet below the panel.

• Supply and installation of (1) outdoor outlet in place of the existing power inlet box.

• Supply and installation of (4) four-foot LED strip lights for the container with a switch at the entry door.

5.0 Deliverables / Schedule: Install power and lights to 40-foot storage container within 30 days after the contract is awarded. Any deviation from that schedule due to unforeseen issues should be communicated to the buyer immediately.
