The contractor must complete five primary tasks: (1) Site Preparation & Demolition, including barricades, signage, traffic control, saw cutting perimeter edges, demolishing damaged concrete and base material, and removing a covered walkway; (2) Subgrade Preparation, requiring excavation, grading, and compacting to 95% maximum dry density, installing 4 inches of crushed aggregate base course, and removing tree roots without compromising tree health; (3) Forming and Reforming, including installation of forms matching existing grade and slope, 10-gauge welded wire reinforcement, and expansion joints; (4) Concrete Placement, requiring ready-mix concrete with minimum 4,000 PSI compressive strength, non-slip medium broom finish, and control joints; and (5) Cleanup & Disposal, including daily removal of debris and restoration of disturbed landscaping. All work must comply with federal, state, and local codes, U.S. Coast Guard Safety and Environmental Health Manual (COMDTINST M5100.47), and OSHA standards.
