STATEMENT OF WORK

NIST DEMAND POTABLE WATER METERS

Background

As part of Executive Order 13834, NIST is required to provide information on domestic water usage. Previous orders had required reporting of other utility usage which NIST satisfied by installing utility meters at the building‐level and trending usage using the existing site building automation system.

Objectives

Trending domestic water usage at the building level to allow collection and reporting of data.

Scope

Installation of building‐level domestic water meters and connection to the existing building automation system.

Tasks

The Work of the Project is defined by the contract drawings (listed below) and specifications and consists of the following:

A. Installation of domestic water meters in select buildings on the campus, connection to the building automation system, and associated electrical work

B. Drawing List:

1. Building 101‐ Drawings 101‐1239 through 101‐1242

2. Building 215‐ Drawings 215‐462 through 215‐465

3. Building 222‐ Drawings 222‐787 through 222‐790

4. Building 226‐ Drawings 226‐425 through 226‐428

5. Building 301‐ Drawings 301‐401 through 301‐405

Delivery

The Contractor shall deliver a potable water meeting system meeting the requirements included on the Contract Drawings and Specifications within 90 calendar days after Notice‐to‐Proceed (NTP) is issued.

Submittal requirements shall be as indicated in the Contract Specifications.

Government‐Furnished Property, Material, Equipment, or Information (GFP, GFM, GFE, or GFI)

No Government‐Furnished material is anticipated for this contract.

Travel

No specific travel requirements are anticipated.

Special Material Requirements

Asbestos Material: If material is encountered that looks suspicious but must be disturbed, do not touch the material. The contractor shall immediately notify the COR in writing. If the material encountered is asbestos and must be handled, the Government shall be responsible for the removal.
