Statement of Work for Repair of Mastersizer 3000 Objective: Repair of Mastersizer 3000 (Malvern Panalytical, Westborough, MA, USA) located at the Hagerman Fish Culture Experiment Station in Hagerman, ID.

We acquired a used Mastersizer 3000 (M3000) particle analyzer from USDA-ARS in Bozeman, MT. During initial setup and installation, the install technician discovered that repairs were needed. The install technician conducted the repairs on May 8, 2023 only to find more serious repairs were required that were only detectable after the scheduled May 8 repairs were completed. The proposed work will include purchase and installation of the defective parts (MOT0054 Brushed DC Motor; RDC3210 IO Board; RD4004 Spatial Filter Service Assembly) plus the labor and service by the installation technician. The work will be deemed successful when the M3000 is operational/fully functional. Our deadline for the completed work is September 5, 2023. The repairs must be conducted by a technician certified to repair the M3000.
