About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for design services of an interior intruder anti-climb fence with a lockable pedestrian gate at the U.S. Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal. The Department of State requires an Architectural-Engineer (A/E) to provide complete design services including drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation for the fence installation in the NE section of the existing embassy wall.
The project consists of four phases: (1) Project Start with kick-off meeting and site visit (5 days duration), (2) Schematic Design development and approval (20 calendar days after site visit), (3) Construction Document development and approval (40 calendar days following schematic design approval), and (4) Permit Documents securing OBO and host country approvals (14 calendar days after construction document approval). The fence must be designed using stainless steel due to the highly atmospheric corrosive environment. Deliverables include architectural plans at 1:100 scale minimum, structural/foundation plans, sections/details, specifications, and catalog cuts. All documentation must be submitted both electronically via PROJNET and in hard copy format, with reviews occurring through PROJNET and online meetings. The contractor must coordinate with local building authorities and comply with both DOS and local standards/codes.
