About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) detailing laundry machine installation requirements and contractor responsibilities for a depot-level equipment replacement project. The SOW specifies critical installation parameters including timing (before June 1 or after September 30), weekend-only work periods starting Fridays after 12 P.M., and electrical configuration considerations such as potential remote inverter placement within 40 feet of machines. Contractor responsibilities encompass comprehensive equipment management including removal and disposal of existing machines, equipment rigging, installation, site cleanup, providing final equipment layout drawings, utility connection documentation, and conducting supervised installation with training for Engineering, Maintenance Management, and Production Operations personnel.
The document outlines specific technical and operational requirements for the machine installation, noting that the current UW125 machine is connected to a step-down transformer converting 480 volts to 208 volts. The contractor must handle all aspects of equipment transition, from off-loading and positioning to anchoring, leveling, and belt installation, while ensuring minimal disruption to existing laundry operations. Additional obligations include preparing detailed work schedules, providing comprehensive documentation of equipment placement and utility connections, and delivering on-site training to ensure proper system operation.
