This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the installation of a Generac 50 kW outdoor backup generator system at the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences (ITS) Table Mountain Advanced Communications Test Site in Longmont, Colorado. The project objective is to procure and install a Generac SG050NA 50 kW stationary outdoor backup generator powered by a 4.5L inline 4-cylinder engine with LP vapor fuel system, including a transfer switch and all necessary electrical, mechanical, and safety components. The installation must comply with NFPA 99 and 110 standards and provide backup power for critical laboratory loads during utility failures.
The scope of work encompasses site preparation and evaluation including load studies and code compliance verification; concrete pad preparation with vibration isolators and aluminum bottom cover plates; generator installation and fuel line connections with leak testing; electrical connections to a 120/208 VAC 3-phase 60 Hz system including a 125 Amp thermal-magnetic breaker and Power Zone Pro digital control panel; installation of a TX Series 200 Amp 3-pole transfer switch with utility voltage sensing; battery and heating system setup including a 110 AH Group 31 battery, 10 Amp charger, and 1500-watt block heater; exhaust and silencer system installation; alarm and remote monitoring setup; and comprehensive testing and commissioning. Deliverables include system installation reports, as-built drawings, wiring schematics, three copies of owner's manuals, and testing/commissioning documentation. The contractor must also test for asbestos and hazardous materials and prepare cleanup plans. Project phases span 8 weeks total, with the period of performance not to exceed 365 days from award. The system includes a standard 2-year limited warranty on the generator and 2-year basic warranty on the transfer switch. Place of performance is Table Mountain, 8600 N. 39th Street, Longmont, CO 80503, with work occurring in buildings B9, T6, and various locations on the site.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Installation of Generac 50 kW Outdoor Backup Generator with Transfer Switch and
Accessories
1. BACKGROUND
The Institute for Telecommunication Sciences (ITS) provides research and development support for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) by performing basic research in radio science that provides the technical foundation for NTIA’s policy development and spectrum management activities, as well as solving telecommunications challenges for other Federal agencies, state and local Governments, private corporations and associations, and international organizations. Additionally, ITS addresses emerging telecommunications, information technology, and security challenges and contributes to the creation of telecommunications standards that support the full and fair competitiveness of the U.S.
communications and information technology business sectors.
2. OBJECTIVE
ITS requires the purchase and installation of brand or equal Generac SG050NA 50 kW Stationary Outdoor Backup Generator powered by a 4.5L inline 4-cylinder engine with LP vapor fuel system. The installation includes all necessary electrical, mechanical, and safety components required for full compliance with applicable codes and best practices. The system is designed to provide backup power for critical loads in the event of utility failure, meeting NFPA 99 and 110 standards and maintaining operational continuity. A backup generator be installed with a transfer switch at building I10C Table Mountain Advanced Communications Test Site. This building serves as a laboratory supporting a variety of telecommunications research projects.
