The contractor must provide 45-minute gymnastics classes on Mondays or Fridays for children and youth ages 1 to 8 years old at two locations: Falcon Courts North Youth Programs (Bldg. 3830 E. Scott Street, JBMDL, NJ 08641) or Dix Youth Programs (1279 Locust Street, Fort Dix, JBMDL, NJ 08640). Three class types are authorized with minimum and maximum enrollment of 10 and 16 students respectively: Mommy & Me (ages 18 months–3 years), Little Hoppers (ages 4–6 years), and Youth Gymnastics (ages 7–10 years). The contractor must have a minimum of 2 years' experience instructing gymnastics at an established facility and must provide current Personal Liability Insurance of at least $300,000 naming JBMDL as an additional insured prior to contract commencement.
Compensation is based on the contractor's established rates, with all participant payments made directly to the Youth Center rather than to the contractor. The contractor is responsible for lesson scheduling coordination, development of lesson plans, attendance and performance record maintenance, and monthly attendance reporting to the Program Coordinator (Arlene Soto, (609) 562-5488/(609) 562-5465). The contractor must arrive 15 minutes early to prepare the lesson area, manage all equipment setup and breakdown, remain with students throughout lessons, and refrain from consuming food during instruction. Contractors must complete background checks (Installation Records Check, FBI fingerprint check, NAC or NACI, and state criminal history check if required), provide two professional references, and complete mandatory training within 60 days of contract award. All background checks and training requirements are grounds for contract termination if not completed within the specified timeframe. Classes are cancelled for inclement weather, natural events, base closure, or instructor illness, with makeup days offered. Monthly invoices must include the reference contract number and invoice number and be submitted to the designated payment contacts prior to month-end.
