UNDERGROUND IRRIGATION WATER LINE BREAK

REPAIRS NEEDED

LOCATION OF WORK: Main Complex – south side of main complex roadway

SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to repair the underground irrigation water line break. The approximate size of the water line to repair is 6” piping. The piping is thought to be ductile iron piping.

The contractor will be responsible to provide any and all related incidentals to the project for the repairs needed.

All private and public utilities must be located by contractor. Any/and all damage done to any utilities, asphalt, or site conditions is to be the responsibility/liability of the contractor to replace and/or repair to the original condition. For a site visit contact Mike Eberle @ 701‐527‐1524. A site visit is recommended.

The contractor shall be responsible for all health and safety equipment and measures that may be required. The contractor is responsible to accomplish the repair and take the necessary precautions to prevent further damage to water line piping.

MATERIALS/INSTALLATION:

1. Approximately 20 linear ft. of 6” water line may need to be replaced. Any additional requirements to complete the repair will be the responsibility of the contractor. Options for piping repair include 6” C900.

2. The existing water line may consist of old approximately 6” inch ductile iron piping.

3. Any/all materials needed for repairs shall be provided and installed by the contractor.

4. Water line repair must be conforming with industry standards for underground repair work.

5. All connections, couplers, clamps, and other necessary materials must be rated for underground water line repair usage.

6. All hardware if required to be used for connections must be rated/compliant for the work necessary.

7. All or any PVC connections must be rated for piping and repair.

8. All trenches or pits must be backfilled, compacted, and returned to original grade and condition to the satisfaction of the COR.

9. All private and public utilities must be located by the contractor.

10. Contractor may need to remove part of the asphalt roadway to locate the leak. Any asphalt removed must be patched and returned to original condition.

11. Any damages done to the private or public utilities is the responsibility/liability of the contractor to repair and return to original condition.

12. Contractor shall ensure that there are no leaks, and the installation has been tested and is fully operational before the job will be considered complete.
