STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

Resilience Speakers for CAF Day 2025

1. BACKGROUND: SJAFB is scheduled to have one CAF Day in 2025. We plan to offer a pair of speakers to inform and inspire the Airmen, empowering them to become stronger, more resilient leaders. One of the most pressing challenges faced by young men and women in the USAF revolves around poor decision-making, particularly in areas such as driving, substance misuse, and sexual conduct. These poor decisions often lead to consequences that can affect both personal and professional lives.

2. SCOPE: The contractor shall provide two speakers that will lead two 90 minute keynote addresses to cover critical topics that include traffic safety, sexual assault prevention, adverse childhood experiences (ACE), and decision making and two 60 minute briefings for USAF leadership designed to enhance their understanding of ACE and equip them with strategies to foster more effective, resilient leadership in their units. These audiences will be prescribed by the CAF Day Plan along with specific times to execute the requirements. Speakers will need to be on base from 0700-1630 on 14 March 2025.

3. QUALIFICATIONS: Experienced speakers offering expertise in traffic safety, adverse childhood experiences, resilience building, leadership empowerment, and holistic decision-making. Please provide a resume to reflect education and experience.

4. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Two speakers to give two 90 minute keynote addresses and two 60 minute leadership briefings that center on the themes below:

• Traffic Safety: Educate USAF members on the three most common and fatal driving behaviors among service members—Distracted Driving, Speeding, and Impaired Driving—and inspire them to avoid these risks.

• Understanding ACE: Educate participants on the concept of Adverse Childhood Experiences and how these factors can influence decision-making and behavior.

• Resilience Building: Provide actionable strategies for overcoming the effects of ACEs, empowering members to enjoy a successful and fulfilling career within the USAF.

• Leadership Empowerment: Equip USAF leaders with the knowledge and tools to understand ACEs and guide their subordinates effectively.

• Holistic Decision-Making: Inspire attendees to make wise, life-affirming decisions that contribute to their success both within their military careers and in their personal lives.

5. LOCATION: All instruction and training will be accomplished on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, NC, at locations that will be determined by the CAF Day schedule.

6. SCHEDULE: The contractor will coordinate schedule and other contractual requirements through Mr. DeAndre Fuller at deandre.fuller@us.af.mil or 919-722-5607.

7.1. The contractor will comply with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.

7.2. The contractor will adhere to best practices of safety in the work place.

8. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE: When services are complete participants will have an increased knowledge of traffic safety, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE), resilience building, leadership empowerment, and holistic decision making.
