STATEMENT OF WORK
Gym, Auditorium and Small Gym Resurface/ Revarnish
1.0 Project Description:
The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment sand quality assurance to refinish the floor in the gymnasium, auditorium, and Bennett Hall. The contractor shall provide barriers and signs to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the work area while the contractor is refinishing the floors. The contractor shall removal of all floor varnish and lines back to the original wood surface. All school logos and basketball boundaries will be determined by the Sherman Indian High School (SIHS). Then the contractor shall replace 2 (two) coating refinishing varnish to the gym floor, auditorium floor, and Bennett Hall floor at SIHS.
2.0 Project Scope of Work:
Sand and refinish of the existing floor down to the raw wood, to include repainting game lines and logo.
For the following buildings:
· Gymnasium building 66
· Bennett Hall building 55
· Auditorium building 77

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS:
4.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks
Task A: Gymnasium building 66.
13,200 square feet all varnish, logos and basketball lines to remove to wooden surface. Flooring will be cleaned and prepped. Logos and basketball boundaries will be determined by SIHS. Contractor to protect the seating areas by covering. Two coats of water-based varnish will be applied to flooring.
Task B: Bennett Hall building 55:
4,788 square feet of all varnish, logos and basketball lines to remove to wooden surface. Flooring will be cleaned and prepped. Logos and basketball boundaries will be determined by SIHS. Two coats of water-based varnish shall be applied.
Task C: Auditorium:
2,275 square feet of varnish shall be taken to wooden surface. Stain and varnish to SIHS determination. Two coats of water-based varnish shall be applied. Contractor shall cover stage area to eliminate sanding particles from entering seating area.
5.0 General:
All required tools, parts, materials, and supplies shall be supplies by the contractor and should be on hand before beginning work. The contractor shall furnish and maintain adequate barricades and warning signs on the job site, to protect all staff and students from dust during construction will be take including but not limited to zip walls at the doorways and caution tape to prevent access.
EXISTING PREPARATION: Floor will be sanded with sanding machine down to the raw wood, with a minimum of three cuts using coarse, medium, and fine sandpapers. Request all sanding dust and grit be removed before applying the seal and finish.
INSTALLATION: Properly sanded floor be treated with two coats of MFMA-approved seal and the floor be screened between each coat. Game lines and logo be painted on floor (Do Not use paint containing vinyls or poly-vinyls). Floors be tacked with rag again, and then two coats of oil-based finish be applied. Temperature should be maintained at approximately 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
CLEAN-UP: At the end of each workday, the Contractor shall clean up the work site by removing of all construction debris. Clean up of the work site shall include the construction area(s), stage area(s), parking and eating area(s) and any other area(s), affected by the construction process. Any dirt or mud, tracked on the any parking area, sidewalk, patio, driveway, or building shall be cleaned away daily. All Contractor generated refuse and waste shall be stored in a waste container provided by the Contractor and hauled from the construction site to a disposal area to be selected by the Contractor and shall be located outside the physical boundaries of the installation. Refuse disposal shall comply with the current disposal environmental requirements. The construction site shall be kept neat, orderly, and safe for workmen at all times. On-site dumpsters, if furnished by the Contractor, shall be coordinated with SIHS COR. All required manifests shall be obtained prior to the transportation of refuse off-site.
GOVERNMENT FURNISHED SERVICES: The government will provide utilities (water and electricity), emergency, fire, and security police response.
TRAFFIC REGULATIONS: Contractor employees shall comply with all base traffic regulations and must sign in at the Security Guard gate. The use of cell phones, except hands-free phones, is prohibited while driving on a government facility in Riverside, CA.
6.0 HOURS OF WORK:
Normal duty hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday, excluding weekends and observed Federal Holiday.

7.0 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
Period of Performance shall be from the date of award to one year.
