Electronic Latch Tester Calibration Services

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

1.1 The contractor shall provide all management, tools, equipment, supplies and labor necessary to calibrate three (3) right hand (RH) Electronic Latch Testers (P/N 51500-100), (NSN +4920-01-391- 7041), currently owned by the government. The Electronic Latch Testers must be calibrated to perform their function of testing the RH Detent Latch Assembly (P/N 14711-200) on the C-130H cargo handling system. All work shall be accomplished to meet the requirements of the Statement of Work (SOW).

1.2. Requirements. The three (3) Electronic Latch Testers will be shipped from Hurlburt Field, FL, at the Government’s expense to the designated vendor to be calibrated to the required specification as written in the operations manual. The vendor will be responsible for shipping the Latch Testers back to Hurlburt Field, FL at the address below:

1.2.1. The vendor shall possess the necessary equipment, technical data and knowledge to calibrate the specified part number (51500-100). The manufacturer for this part is Telair US LLC, who was formerly owned by AAR Manufacturing, Inc.

1.2.2 The contractor shall follow the manufacturer’s technical data and approved procedures and perform an operator’s check to determine the calibration is complete and the Latch Testers are functioning in accordance with the manufacturer’s specification.

1.2.3. In the event that repairs are required, approval shall be coordinated with the Government and Contracting Officer prior to proceeding.

2. DELIVERABLES

2.1. Parts and Repair Documentation. The contractor shall provide to the Contracting Office written documentation identifying the tasks completed on each Latch Tester, identified by serial number and any applicable warranties provided.

2.1.1 The serial numbers for the parts are as follows:

2.2 All tasks will be completed at the contractor’s place of performance and shipped back to Hurlburt Field, FL at the contractor’s expense.

3. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY AND SERVICES

3.1 The Government will provide the service of shipping the parts to the contractor. The Government will be responsible for any and all expenses of this one-way shipping cost. No other government furnished property or services will be provided.

4. GENERAL INFORMATION

4.1. Period of Performance. The period of performance is 45 days from the day the Government ships the parts to the contractor through the day the Government receives the serviced parts back from the contractor. Any and all issues with shipping must be communicated to the Contracting Officer immediately when they arise.

4.2. Hours of Operation. Normal operations are 24 hours a week Monday thru Friday and from 0630 to 1830 Saturday and Sunday. The contractor shall complete the service of the parts according to their own schedule, provided that the period of performance does not exceed 45 days. The Hours of Operation provided here are for informational purposes.

4.3. Federal Holidays. The following is a list of federal holidays observed by this installation.
