Statement of Work U.S. Customs and Border Protection OBP
Newton-Azrak Station Electric Mountain Bicycle
1. BACKGROUND:
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Border Patrol, San Diego Sector, Newton-Azrak Station (NAZ) has a continuing need for tools and equipment to facilitate addressing the ongoing threat from the smuggling of contraband through the station’s Area of Responsibility (AOR). This equipment will more effectively allow NAZ to accomplish their mission.
Additionally, electric mountain bikes offer a cost-effective alternative to motorized vehicles. Their quiet operation enhances the element of stealth, allowing agents to approach situations discreetly and without alerting potential suspects. The adoption of this technology will not only enhance the station’s operational capabilities but also demonstrate a commitment to modernizing tools and resources to meet the evolving demands of border security.
2. SCOPE:
The contractor shall provide and deliver two LEVO ALLOY G4 CYPRMET/DKMOS S3 and two LEVO ALLOY G4 CYPRMET/DKMOS S4, peculiar to one manufacturer or equal, and hereafter known as bikes or bicycles.
