About this file

This is a Statement of Work for the manufacture and delivery of a Recess Tie Down Assembly (NSN: 2020-01-682-7587, P/N CGRD50TDRASS01).

The contractor shall manufacture, metallize, perform pull testing on 10% of units, and individually mark and package each assembly in accordance with drawing 225-WLB-573-012 REV C Piece 6. The metalizing process must follow SSPC-CS 23.00 specifications using a twin wire arc process with certified 99.7% aluminum alloy wire meeting AWS C2.25/C2.25M requirements. Material test reports for wire lots must be provided. Surface preparation shall achieve SSPC SP-10 cleanliness level with a substrate anchor profile of 0.0025–0.005 inches, verified by two profile measurements per component per ASTM D4417 Method B and SSPC-PA 17. The metalizing coating shall be uniformly applied in multiple overlapping passes with no single pass exceeding 4 mils, resulting in a total coating thickness of 0.008–0.016 inches, verified by two thickness measurements per component per SSPC-PA 2. All machined surfaces and weld attachment locations must be protected from abrasives and metalizing using high-temperature tapes or suitable masking. Two companion coupons per operator must be prepared and metallized alongside production pieces, with bend and adhesion tests performed and documented in a Job Control Record. Following metallization, components shall be returned to the shop for assembly completion and pull testing per the referenced drawing. Packaging shall comply with MIL-STD-2073-1 E Method 10, utilizing double-layer bubble wrap and appropriately sized wooden boxes per ASTM-D6251 Type III Class 1 and ASTM-D6880 Class 2, with marking per MIL-STD-129R. The container must display specific markings including NSN, part name, part number, quantity, shipping weight, and Condition Code "A" in ¾" to 1" black enamel lettering on a white background on the upper left of two opposite sides. Delivery is required by July 1, 2024.
