About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) describes a temporary roof repair project for thirteen Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) housing units located in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. The Cheyenne River Agency requires a temporary metal roofing solution for housing units established around 1955 that are currently experiencing significant roof leakage. The project scope involves installing a new temporary tin roof over existing shingles without removing them, using minimum 29-gauge steel roofing with specific requirements including 9-inch center rib spacing, Grade 80 steel, ridge vents, and pipe boots.

Key project parameters include a 90-calendar day performance period, a warranty of at least one year, and work to be conducted Monday through Friday during a standard 40-hour work week. The contractor must comply with tribal tax and licensing requirements, including contacting the TERO Program and Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Revenue Department. The project aims to prevent further structural damage until permanent roof replacement can be completed, with the final work acceptance determined by the Contracting Officer's Representative in consultation with the Facilities Department. The site plan indicates the specific housing units are located in a clustered residential area in Eagle Butte.
