About this file

This document presents Minimum Technical Requirements for an Air Data Controller, specifying detailed technical specifications for a sophisticated pressure measurement device. The requirements include two independent absolute pressure transducers capable of measuring static and total pressures across extreme altitude and speed ranges (from 100,000 ft. altitude to 36 inHga, and speeds up to 900 knots). The device must be RVSM compliant, multi-gas species capable (minimum GN2 and Air), and able to pressurize and control a 5187 cu. in./87-liter volume with demonstrated stability. Additional technical requirements include IEEE-488 bus SCPI for automated operation, UUT head correction input, owner-enabled in-house calibration capabilities, and a 19" rack mountable design to facilitate integration into existing systems.
