About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the replacement of a tank sump on an R-11 fuel truck (registration number 08L00022) for the 20th Logistics Readiness Squadron. The contractor is required to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, and services to safely remove and replace the tank sump, following specific technical requirements. Key tasks include performing internal tank atmosphere testing, removing the tank using a 6,000-gallon tank rotisserie, carefully removing the existing sump without damaging the tank body, and fabricating a new sump using designer-specified aluminum alloy with matching dimensions, fittings, and welding specifications.

The government will transport the R-11 fuel truck to the contractor's facility within a 400-mile radius of Shaw Air Force Base and return it after completion. The contractor must adhere to DOT 406 specifications and the original tank manufacturer's design standards, ensure proper welding, paint the replaced sump area, and reconnect all fittings and electrical connections. Upon completion, the contractor will make the vehicle available for government inspection. The work must meet all industry standard methods and ensure the replacement sump meets or exceeds the original specifications.
