About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the repair requirements for an HC-144 Left Hand (LH) Aileron, Part Number 35-14003-0002 for the US Coast Guard. The document specifies that ADSMA (Airbus DS Military Aircraft) in Mobile, AL will perform comprehensive repairs on the aileron, which has consistent corrosion damage on hinge fittings. Key repair requirements include performing necessary repairs according to the Service Repair Manual (SRM), conducting mid-life inspections, completing bonding jumper tests, applying primer protections, and preserving internal structures according to corrosion control specifications.
The SOW requires ADSMA to provide a detailed proposal including estimated costs (broken down by engineering, labor, and materials), completion timeline, repair process description, and special tooling requirements. Deliverables must include detailed drawings, documentation via FAA 8130-3 or Certificate of Conformance (COC), and comprehensive documentation of all repair work, including Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) deposition reports. The repair is specifically for Serial Number 35-N-253L, with the point of contact being CWO Lance Godfrey, and is part of a sole-source procurement to address the US Coast Guard's inability to perform organic repairs of this component.

24 June 2024
HC-144 LH AILERON, P/N 35-14003-0002 Repair
A. General: HC144 Aileron control surfaces are consistently found to have corrosion damage on the hinge fittings due to bonding wire hardware connection and hinge attachment to the spar.
Repair of this corrosion damage requires a significant amount of effort and disassembly. ALC does not have the repair resource capacity to support field level and PDM demands. The USCG has deemed that organic repair of this component is BER.
B. Scope: This SOW shall establish services from the OEM repair facility, ADSMA in Mobile AL via the reference contract to inspect, repair and restore the Aileron, P/N 35-14003-0002 to full airworthiness condition.
Your Point of Contact is: CWO Lance Godfrey, lance.l.godfrey@uscg.mil telephone 252 335- 7308.
C. Requirement:
1. ADSMA shall perform the necessary repairs IAW SRM for Aileron, S/N _35-N-253L_to restore airworthy condition.
2. ADSMA shall provide the facilities, manpower, tooling, special equipment, hardware, hazmat, and materials necessary to remove/replace affected parts.
3. ADSMA shall provide a detailed itemized list of all damage and repair requirements including parts and labor costs to restore airworthiness of the Aileron{s).
4. If additional damage or corrosion is discovered during the repair process, ADSMA shall immediately contact the POC(s) listed in paragraph B.
5. All work performed by ADSMA shall include the additional protections cited in "Marinization" Drawing 35-94453-00 of reference NT-3-DCO-03162.

7. All bonding jumper tests shall be documented on the Work Card IAW AMM Chapter 20-28-00 to include the measured resistance value{s).
8. All components shall receive primer ONLY protections IAW CN235-23-2, Table 2-5 and Section 2.8.
9. All cavities and internal structure shall be preserved IAW CN-235 Corrosion Control Manual, Section 3 Prevention of Corrosion in Sea Patrol Version (3.8.3).
10. All bonding jumpers/wires shall be installed IAW USCG publication MPC 200001.0.
11. Ensure trim tab bonding wire attach provisions are installed IAW SR-CN235-2022100985
