STATEMENT OF WORK
SPECIFICATIONS FOR GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
MLB LONG RANGE RADAR SITE (MLBARSR)
RT. 192, RADAR ROAD, MELBOURNE FL
1. GENERAL INFORMATION: The contractor must provide all labor, materials and equipment required to perform Grounds Maintenance at the facility listed above, which includes approximately 9 acres of grounds. The contractor must perform Grounds Maintenance per the following month-to-month schedule: once per month during the months of October, November, December, January and February and twice per month during March, April, May, June, July, August and September as described in #2, Scope of Work.
2. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor must perform cutting/mowing of the grass and weeds to a height of 2 inches not to exceed a height of 6 inches, including any trim work along buildings and fences, with removal as needed from sidewalks and parking areas; otherwise, clippings can remain on the lawn. The contractor must cut and clear dead brush and trees, thereby preventing a potential fire hazard.
The shrubbery will be trimmed and shaped The contractor must trim and shape the shrubbery neatly on a monthly basis. Any trees must be trimmed annually.
All debris and cuttings generated as a result of Item #2, and that accumulates in trash barrels, must be removed from the premises and disposed of by the Contractor, in a manner that does not conflict with local disposal regulations.
3. STANDARDS OF SERVICES: all work is to be performed in a professional manner with safety precautions as the primary focus.
4. CONTRACTOR FURNISHED EQUIPMENT: the contractor is to furnish all necessary labor, tools, equipment and any other materials necessary to perform the required tasks.
5. SUPERVISION: the Contractor is responsible for scheduling and completing work satisfactorily.
6. WORK SCHEDULE: the Contractor will work independently of regular office hours and will call ahead to gain access to site by contacting the SSC Manager, will remain under escort while within the fenced area; no escort is required while outside the fenced area (along the roadway) to perform the necessary work. The contractor is responsible for notifying the SSC Manager that the site work is completed.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR TREE PRUNING
MELBOURNE AIR ROUTE SURVEILLANCE RADAR (ARSR)
9001 RADAR ROAD, MELBOURNE FL 32904
1. GENERAL INFORMATION: The contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment required to perform tree pruning at the facility listed above, per the below Scope of Work provided in Item #2. Tree work will be performed and maintained per the following schedule: once in January and once in July.
2. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor is to perform all pruning of trees and bushes along the road, from SR 192, to the second gate on Radar Road, approximately 3/4 mile. Trees on both sides of the road will be cut straight up from the fence including all branches and shrubbery overhanging or protruding through the fence. This will also include “high work” to remove tree branches from and near telephone wires. After trim work, pepper trees will be sprayed to inhibit growth and intrusion through and over the fence.
All debris and cuttings generated as a result of this work, must be removed from the premises and disposed of by the contractor, in a manner that will not conflict with disposal regulations.
3. STANDARDS OF SERVICE: All work is to be performed in a professional manner with safety precautions as the primary focus. The contractor mustsubmit all invoices for payment upon completion of services, to the Contracting Officer and the System Support Center. All work performed under this contract will be subject to inspection, approval and acceptance by the Contracting Officer’s Representative for Certification.
4. CONTRACTOR FURNISHED EQUIPMENT: The contractor must to furnish all necessary labor, tools, equipment and any other materials necessary to perform the required tasks.
5. SUPERVISION: The contractor is responsible to assure all scheduled work is accomplished satisfactorily.
6. WORK SCHEDULE: The contractor will work independently of regular office hours and will call ahead to notify the System Support Center Manager that he/they will be on-site performing the work. Per the semi-annual schedule noted in Item #1, anytime during those months is acceptable, unless weather precludes the work to be completed. Upon this situation, the following month will be acceptable.
