About this file

This is a Statement of Work for the inspection and overhaul of five Carrier Model 30HXS-146R-6-KA Chilled Water Units. The work requires a qualified Carrier AC Service Representative and equipped repair facility to disassemble, inspect, clean, and overhaul the units to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and return them to Ready For Issue condition. Key tasks include conducting an as-found condition inspection with initial reporting to the Government representative (MSCREP), performing Eddy Current testing on all condenser tubes, disassembling and rebuilding the condenser, evaporator, compressor, valves, and controls, replacing all O-rings, gaskets, filters, dryer cores, and thermal expansion valves, performing nitrogen and freon charge leak tests, and conducting operational testing. The work also requires preservation activities including removal of rust and loose paint, degreasing, cleaning, and repainting per OEM specifications, opening and cleaning all electrical covers and control contacts, and installing desiccant and moisture indicators in electrical enclosures.

The contractor must provide separate line item pre-pricing for condenser tube replacement and submit comprehensive documentation including photographs of disassembled major components highlighting discrepancies, an as-released condition report, and final certification of all work performed. Units shall be re-crated in shipping crates suitable for international shipping in accordance with ISPM Publication 15, with external stenciling in 3-inch block lettering identifying content nomenclature and part number on all four sides. All reports and checklists must be completed and signed by the inspection and maintenance personnel and countersigned by the company representative. Government-furnished equipment includes all five chilled water units and arrangement of all required shipping utilizing government transportation.
