STATEMENT OF WORK UTILITY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES
Overview This Statement of Work (SOW)) outlines the requirements for the first C-5M Super Galaxy Flight Deck Refurbishment project to be completed during Major Isochronal Inspection by the 436th Maintenance Squadron from the 436th Maintenance Group at Dover Air Force Base. The goal of this SOW is to obtain cosmetic aircraft restoration services for the C-5M which would include seating, headliners, upholstery, vinyl, insulation, woodwork, etc. The 436th Maintenance Squadron currently does not have the capabilities or supplies necessary to independently complete overhauls of the flight decks of the C-5Ms. The current supply inventory does not have many of the assets needed to complete a full overhaul. Many of the assets that are available in the supply chain are legacy assets that do not meet the current C-5M modification requirements of material or design. The current flight deck conditions are unsatisfactory when it comes to comfort and aesthetic. Obtaining a contract with an external contractor will provide a streamlined and efficient method for obtaining all the commodities and services required to complete a refurbishment that will restore pride and make flying and working on the aircraft more bearable for both maintenance and air crews executing their mission. The period of performance for this BPA is estimated from 1 Apr 2026 to 30 September 2031.
