Statement of Work

LED Lighting Sustainment Project

Bowling Green TACC

Project: 39250021

1. SCOPE:

1.1 Scope Overview: The purpose of this project is to repair by replacing existing inoperable parking lot lighting fixtures (inductive type) with new, energy-efficient LED fixtures. The contractor will be responsible for the removal and installation of all fixtures in the parking lots, walkways, flagpole area, and other designated exterior locations around the Armory. The project aims to provide enhanced illumination and reduce maintenance costs through a modern LED lighting system. The existing system is degrading in its ability to provide consistent, adequate, and serviceable facility lighting. The

Ohio Army National Guard (OHARNG) requires reliable lighting to perform mission tasks, training and operations. The maintenance requirements of this lighting system must be aligned with the capabilities of the Army Facility Maintenance Staff in addition to the mutual use agreements with the

City of Bowling Green. This project is necessary to correct the current systems failures by replacing the existing fixtures with LED lighting systems. This upgrade will also substantially reduce the maintenance required and drop electrical consumption and cost as directed by the Dept. of the Army and the OHARNG.

1.2 Scope Summary: The Contractor shall provide a proposal that includes the replacement of twenty-two (22) parking lot lights (photometric assessment must be provided to show foot candles and spread of new lighting), ten (10) walkway lights, four (4) flood lights, and three (3) flagpole lights, for a total of thirty-nine (39) new fixtures. The work will include the removal and disposal of existing fixtures, installation of new fixtures, and any necessary modifications to the existing infrastructure. The Contractor must ensure that the new lighting meets all relevant industry standards and provides adequate illumination for the Armory’s needs. The Basis of Design (BOD) spreadsheet details the existing system components and the appropriate replacement fixtures, devices and materials for the areas involved in this project. It is the contractor’s responsibility to review and confirm fixture counts and types. The contractor will provide a quote using the information provided in the BOD, government furnished drawings, pictures and this RFP.

The contractor shall provide project deliverables based upon current facility priorities and objectives as detailed in this SOW and the BOD. As a requirement of this SOW, the project shall comply with ADJ-OHARNG requirements, Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards, all

NEC codes, and applicable Federal and State Laws.
