About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for bio-medical waste transport and disposal services for the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) across three facilities in Glynco, GA, Artesia, NM, and Charleston, SC. The solicitation (25ENV0139) is currently a pre-solicitation Sources Sought Notice seeking small business sources to provide comprehensive waste management services, including pickup, manifesting, labeling, transport, and disposal of medical waste from designated medical units at each facility.

The SOW specifies detailed requirements including monthly and bi-monthly waste pickups, container specifications meeting federal regulations, and handling of various medical waste classes (infectious agents, pathological waste, blood products, sharps). The contractor must provide approved, locked containers, use compliant shipping packages, and return completed manifests within 30 calendar days to designated Environmental and Safety Branch representatives. Waste pickup frequencies vary by location, with additional pickups possible up to twice weekly. The pre-solicitation requires potential vendors to submit company information, business size, current contract details, a capability statement, and evidence of comparable work experience by May 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM EDT.
