About this file
This document is a Scope of Work (SOW) for improvements to rooms 2108A and 2108B in Building 130 at the NOAA Inouye Regional Center located on Ford Island, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The project involves removing a partial wall (12.5 FT wide x 10 FT tall) between two rooms to create a new opening of at least 17 feet wide by 9 feet tall. Key requirements include identifying and documenting utilities, safely disconnecting electrical and data lines, relocating fire alarm indicators, patching and repairing walls and floors, and relocating a 6 x 3 x 0.5 FT granite table weighing approximately 1,600 lbs.
The SOW specifies a performance period of 4 months, with an expectation that the work will be completed within 30-45 calendar days of notice to proceed. Contractor personnel must be US citizens or permanent residents, comply with JBPHH security requirements, and conduct themselves professionally. The contractor is responsible for site investigation, protecting existing equipment, removing construction waste, and providing a 1-year warranty on installation and products. The project emphasizes minimizing impact to ongoing NOAA facility operations and adhering to industry best practices and safety regulations.

***DRAFT***
Background
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Inouye Regional Center (IRC), laboratories are located on Ford Island, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH).
NOAA is seeking a contractor to remove an existing partial wall between rooms 2108A and 2108B (Physiology Lab) located in Building 130.
The intent of this document is to outline the government’s needs and requirements. This document is not intended to be a design specification. Contractors are encouraged to propose appropriate and economical options to meet the government’s needs.
Period of Performance

1.2 Remove the existing partial wall (12.5 FT wide x 10 FT tall) between rooms 2108A and 2108B such that the new opening between the rooms is not less than 17 feet wide by 9 feet tall. See Figures 1 and Figures 2 which show the wall from both sides.
1.3 Disconnect and safely terminate any electrical or data lines within the wall, according to applicable codes.
1.4 Relocate fire alarm indicator, as necessary per the requirements of NFPA 72.
