About this file

This document includes a presolicitation notice and statement of work for architectural and engineering design services. The Veterans Health Administration seeks a firm-fixed price design contract from a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business for complete construction documents including drawings, specifications, reports and construction period services. The scope includes infrastructure upgrades to information technology systems, networking, electrical, HVAC, and security systems at the VA Manchester Medical Center. Responses are due by July 29, 2022. Firms will be evaluated on their specialized experience in similar network and infrastructure projects, professional qualifications of staff, capacity to complete the design within 420 calendar days of award, past performance, and knowledge of the project locality. The selection process will include evaluating submissions against these primary criteria, discussions with the top firms, and negotiations with the highest rated firm. The award is for a 100% SDVOSB set-aside contract valued between $20-50 million.

* Does the room comply with the Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard?Adequate is defined as physical space exists to accommodate installation of commercially acquired racks, network switches, and patch panels.

An example of a "makeshift" installation would be where wall mounted patch panels are being used due to no rack space available. Or, "homemade" racks are being used to mount equipment due to size constraints.
