About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a research effort at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) as part of the Degradation Reactions in Electrothermal Energy Storage (DEGREES) Energy Earthshot Research Center (EERC) led by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The research will focus on conducting synchrotron X-ray analysis at BNL, as well as materials characterization and design. This SOW is related to a pre-solicitation (Sources_Sought_455017) issued by the Department of Energy Office of Science, seeking sources to fulfill this R&D effort. Interested parties must submit a capabilities statement demonstrating expertise in this field of research and provide a technical point of contact.

Title: Research at Brookhaven National Laboratory for DEGREES EERC
Statement of Work Personnel will be conducting work as part of the Degradation Reactions in Electrothermal Energy Storage (DEGREES) Energy Earthshot Research Center (EERC). The center is led by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), with Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) as a participating institution. The center work focuses on a different challenge: advancing our fundamental understanding of the degradation mechanisms of materials for electrothermal long-duration energy storage. The contractor efforts will be to conduct synchrotron X-ray analysis at BNL, as well as materials characterization and design.
