SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS

INTRODUCTION:

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION for the Naval Air Systems

Command (NAVAIR) Additive Manufacturing Integrated Product Team to determine the availability and technical capability of vendors to meet the Government’s requirement.

SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT.

RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY

RESPONDENTS TO THIS REQUEST IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES:

The requirement is for the procurement of Tier 1 Additive Manufacturing (AM) Ultimaker S5 systems and the initial support and sustainment of those systems, to meet Chief of Naval

Operations Design for Maintaining Maritime Superiority Ver 2.0 and Marine Corps Order

4700.4. Details of the requirement are provided via the Performance Work Statement (PWS)

(Attachment 1) and a Description document (Attachment 2), both attached to this announcement.

The effort involves procurement of the Tier 1 Additive Manufacturing Ultimaker S5 system to include the following components:

Non-Expeditionary System:

o 1 Ultimate 5S 3D Printer o 1 Safety enclosure o 1 Rugidized Laptop computer with built in DVD/CD ROM and Card Reading capability. Also including CURA and SolidWorks software.

o Basic Polymer printer material o Services agreement

Expeditionary System o Ultimate 5S 3D Printer o 1 Safety enclosure o 1 Rugidized Laptop computer with built in DVD/CD ROM and Card Reading capability. Also including CURA and SolidWorks software.

o Basic Polymer printer material o Services agreement o Transportation containers for Printer system (Pelican Type containers with wheels)

Further, post-procurement support of the system will include: technical support and its installation at predetermined sites, support equipment and ancillary equipment problem resolution; technical publication logistic support; OEM reach-back capability for software and hardware components; engineering investigations and corrective actions for system anomalies;

and development of initial training for the supplied systems.

The award of a firm fixed price contract is anticipated for the non-modified commercial off the shelf products and services.

If, after reviewing the PWS, you desire to participate in the market research, you should provide documentation that supports your company's capability in meeting the requirements. Failure to provide documentation may result in the Government being unable to adequately assess your capabilities. If you lack sufficient experience in a particular area, provide details explaining how you would overcome the lack of experience/capabilities in order to perform that portion of the requirement (i.e., teaming, subcontracting, etc.).

ELIGIBILITY:

Interested vendors that are qualified under the NAICS 333249, are encouraged to submit their capability packages.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

Interested vendors shall provide a capability statement that demonstrates a proven track record of performance in the services outlined in the attached PWS and Description documents.

Capability statements shall be no more than 8 pages in length with a minimum font size of Times

New Roman 12-point.

The capability statement shall include at a minimum, the following:

(1) Company profile to include: company name, company address, company point of contact information (including name, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address), number of employees, annual revenue history, office location, CAGE code, DUNS number, and current business size status under associated NAICS 333249.

(2) Provide a narrative and/or details to address how the contractor has experience in providing the requirements as detailed in the PWS. Further, does the contractor have expertise specific to the Department of Navy or Department of Defense?

Vendors who wish to respond to this request should send responses via email NLT 18 February

2021. The response should not exceed a 5 MB e-mail limit for all items associated with the response. Interested vendors should forward their capabilities and other information to be considered to courtney.burgos@navy.mil and lydia.munley@navy.mil.
