The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. A single solicitation will be issued for Replace Roofs FCI 1 & SPC. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Correctional Complex (FCC Oakdale) located at 1507 East Whatley Road, Oakdale, Louisiana 71463, intends to make a single award to a responsible entity that will provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals to replace piping under housing unit. The contractor is responsible for replacing approximately 47,000 sq. ft. of ceiling, 1,000 sq. ft. of skylights with associated framing, 115,000 sq. ft. of standing seam metal roofing, 30,200
sq. ft. of modified bituminous roofing, and 141,000 sq. ft. of exposed fastener metal roofing systems. It is the contractor’s responsibility to obtain permitting, should it be required. All manufacturer’s recommendations will be required to be implemented.
This sources sought questionnaire is for information purposes only. The described requirement may or may not be included in the subsequent solicitation.

1. The resulting solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation are not available. The website provides download instructions to obtain all documents relating to the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the pre-solicitation notices, solicitation, and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most current information about the acquisition.
2. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov.
All bidders are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information and NAICS code.
