CNC is a National Shrine that honors veterans with a final resting place and lasting memorials that commemorate their service to our Nation. The Cemetery receives visitors, holds ceremonies, and conducts committal services. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Completion Time: The Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) shall call and schedule delivery time and dates. The government will notify the Contractor of the need for 50lb moisture-proof bagged fertilizer (turf grade, 24-0-12, 2% FE with 60% sulfur or polymer coated urea for slow release) 2 weeks before it needs to be delivered, unless otherwise requested by Cemetery due to an unforeseen weather emergency need.
Placement of Orders: The Government will order, and the Contractor will furnish, an amount of 2,800 moisture-proof 50lb bags of Fertilizer (turf grade, 24-0-12, 2% FE with 60% sulfur or polymer coated urea for slow release) annually. The Government anticipates it may need an additional 200 moisture-proof 50lb bags of Fertilizer during one, or all the ordering periods, so an Option for Increased Quantity is included for each year. The estimated quantity of Fertilizer indicated in the Price Schedule will not be needed all in one delivery. Fertilizer orders shall be placed on an “as-needed / as requested” basis in approximately 1,000 50lb bag increments on pallets—approximately three (3) deliveries annually. The Contractor shall protect from damage all existing improvements and utilities at or near the delivery site and on adjacent property of a third party. The Contractor shall immediately notify the COR of any such occurrence and repair any damage to those facilities, including those that are the property of a third party, resulting from failure to comply with the requirements of this contract or failure to exercise reasonable care in performing the work.
