About this file
This is a Sources Sought (market research) notice issued by the USGS Astrogeology Science Center seeking qualified vendors, particularly small businesses, to provide annual license renewal and technical support services for BAE Systems' SOCET GXP® eXtreme Analysis Bundle UE software and associated modules. The requirement covers maintenance and subscription renewal for multiple perpetual node-locked licenses including SOCET SET Core UE (4 licenses), SOCET SET Stereo UE (4 licenses), and various other modules such as ITE, MST, ATE, NGATE Add-on, FF, Ortho, ASM, and APM UE (quantities ranging from 3-4 each). The period of performance is October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026, with option years available.
Vendors must provide maintenance entitlement (access to patches, upgrades, and security updates), unlimited technical support via email and phone Monday-Friday 0800-1700 MT, and license continuity with updated keys delivered no later than September 15, 2025. For equivalent products, vendors must demonstrate compatibility including import/export of SOCET GXP project files with no data loss, matching functionality for stereo photogrammetry and terrain extraction, and integration with existing Python and ISIS3 pipelines on Windows 10/11 and RHEL 8 in offline networks. Responses are limited to 5 pages and must include corporate data, authorized reseller status with BAE Systems or equivalent product ownership, technical capability descriptions, past performance examples, delivery schedules, and rough-order-of-magnitude pricing for the base year plus four option years. Submissions must be in PDF format under 10 MB and sent to Joel Berberena at jberberena@usgs.gov. This falls under NAICS code 334111 (Electronic Computer Manufacturing) and PSC 7A21 (Business Application Software SaaS).

1. Purpose
The USGS Astrogeology Science Center is conducting market research to identify qualified, authorized sources—especially small businesses—that can provide annual license-renewal and technical-support services for BAE Systems’ SOCET GXP® eXtreme Analysis Bundle UE (and associated modules) or a fully compatible equivalent solution. The information obtained will shape the Government’s acquisition strategy.
2. Background
The Astrogeology Planetary Photogrammetry Laboratory (APPL) uses SOCET GXP to generate high-precision digital terrain models and orthorectified imagery that support multiple NASA planetary missions. Continuous access to current releases, security patches, and vendor technical support is mission-critical; a lapse would jeopardize ongoing NASA/USGS science operations.
